That $10 thrift store blazer I almost walked past? Now my go-to for layering.

I grabbed it on a whim last fall at a Goodwill in Portland, thinking it was way too boxy to work. After a quick hem and swapping the buttons, it actually gives every outfit this effortless relaxed shape I couldn't get with my fitted jackets. Has anyone else found that oversized silhouettes from the 90s are easier to style than they look on the rack?

Take the shoulder pads out first, that's the secret. Once you drop those you get the drape without looking like a linebacker.

Might just be a matter of body type, but oversized 90s blazers always make me look like I'm drowning in my dad's hand-me-downs. I tried one last year from a local shop, got it tailored, and it still felt off. Fitted jackets give me that clean line I personally need.
