Had to choose between a $40 headlamp and a $12 work light for an attic crawl
Last week I had a rough day in an attic near Portland, and I forgot my usual headlamp in the truck. The only options were a cheap magnetic work light that flickered or a pricey headlamp from the supply house. I grabbed the cheap one because it was right there, and 20 minutes in it dropped off a rafter onto my face while I was stripping 12/2. The magnet was weak and the pivot joint gave out, so I finished the last 3 connections holding it in my teeth. My jaw was sore for a day, and the light died before I even packed up. Anyone else ever gamble on bargain lighting and regret it in a tight spot?
