Spent 3 days chasing a sand plug that turned out to be a busted wear plate

Finally gave up on flushing the line after 3 days and pulled the pump, the wear plate had a crack hiding behind the liner the whole time, has anyone else had a plug that looked like flow issues but was actually a mechanical problem?

Three days of flushing and it was a cracked wear plate the whole time? That's brutal. The way a cracked plate can hide behind the liner and still let enough material through to mimic a plug is just nasty. I've seen similar stuff where the pump sounds fine but the pressure readings keep lying to you. Makes you want to tear the whole thing down first instead of trusting the usual suspects.
