The laundromat quarter jar vs my fancy app, total plot twist

I used to haul a giant pickle jar of quarters to the laundromat every Sunday, counting out 12 dollars in change before I left. Last month I downloaded a laundry app that takes cards and it felt so modern, until the machine ate my payment and I had zero backup. I stood there with wet clothes and a dead phone battery, watching a guy next to me casually drop in 8 quarters like it was nothing. Does anyone else secretly miss the physical ritual of coin counting, or am I just nostalgic for the panic at 7pm on a rainy night?
