Bathroom exhaust fan quit after 11 years, dead capacitor
My Nutone fan started buzzing like a trapped wasp last week before dying completely. Pulled it down, found a swollen 6 uF capacitor and swapped it for a $4 part from an electrical supply in Akron. Anyone else ever fix a fan motor this way instead of buying a whole new unit?

Wait, you actually drove to a supply house in AKRON for a $4 capacitor? That's some serious dedication to not buying a new fan, I respect it.
