Last week I made $600 in one day then $0 the next three days straight

I was riding high after a killer Tuesday where I booked three client calls back to back from my spot in Medellin (this coffee shop near Laureles is my lucky spot). Then Wednesday hit and my internet went down for 6 hours, I missed a deadline, and the client ghosted me completely. Has anyone else had this brutal roller coaster of income as a nomad or am I just bad at planning?

That kind of swing is pretty normal honestly. You're not bad at planning, it's just how this lifestyle works sometimes - feast or famine hits hard when you're relying on unstable internet and time zones.

Exactly the same thing happened to me in Thailand last month. I was on this huge wave after closing a deal from a hammock in Koh Lanta, feeling like some kind of digital nomad genius. Then the next day the whole island had a power outage and I had to work from a 7-Eleven parking lot on a dying laptop battery while a stray dog sniffed my backpack. My client didn't care about the outage, they just wanted their files and I ended up having to hike to a hostel with a generator just to send one email at midnight. The highs and lows are real and nobody talks about how much your luck depends on random stuff like local electricity grids and whether the cafe wifi decides to work that day. You're not bad at planning, the whole setup is just chaotic sometimes.
