Hot take: booking hostels for only 3 nights in Medellin saved my whole month
I stopped booking a full month upfront after getting stuck in a loud spot in Manila for 4 weeks. Now I book 3 nights, walk the neighborhood, then extend if I like it, and I found a $11/night room in Laureles this way. Anyone else do the short first stay thing, or do you just gamble on the long booking?
