That agency meetup in Austin flipped my whole process on reporting
Went to a small agency roundtable last month and this one guy from a 3 person shop stood up and showed how he sends clients a single Slack message with 3 bullet points instead of the 40 page deck we were doing. I thought he was crazy but he had like 12 client retention examples. Next week I tried it with our biggest account, cut the report down to 5 lines and a screenshot. Client responded in 20 minutes saying it was the clearest update they ever got. Has anyone else dropped full reports for something shorter?
Wait, you mean clients actually prefer reading less? Next thing you'll tell me they don't want 14 attachments either. (We might be onto something here honestly.)
