Sat through a 3 hour pitch in Kansas City and finally saw what my agency was missing
I was at a small business meetup in Kansas City back in March and this agency owner walked everyone through how she pitches clients. She spent the first 20 minutes asking about their kids and their weekend before she ever mentioned a service. I run a two person shop and my whole pitch was basically a price list with a handshake. She said something that stuck with me, "nobody hires the cheapest invoice, they hire the person they trust." So I changed my first call to just listening for 15 minutes and asking questions before I say one word about packages. Closed two of my next three clients at $1,800 a month each. Has anyone else flipped their whole intake process because of something they overheard at an event?
