Chat with a gallery owner in Portland made me rethink how I show my work

Ngl, I was just using my portfolio site as a dump for finished pieces, but she said her eyes skip anything without a process shot. Has anyone else started including sketches or failed versions and seen more engagement or sales?

Process shots are the new black, honestly. I started tossing in one ugly sketch per piece and people suddenly act like they get my brain. Failed versions make the finished thing look way more earned, so yeah, she's onto something.
