Serious question, my kid asked me to explain why the sky is blue and I actually got it right

I always figured that whole thing was something only science teachers could pull off, but I sat him down after dinner Monday and used the bath tub and a flashlight to show how light scatters, and he got it in like 4 minutes. Now he thinks I'm a genius and I don't know how to tell him I looked it up on my phone in the garage first. Any other dads have a go to trick for when the questions get hard?
