The return desk lady saved my broken blender with a spare part trick
My $89 blender died after 11 months, so I dragged it to the big box store in Austin expecting a fight over the warranty. The lady at the return desk didn't even look at my receipt, she just flipped the base over and said 'your drive socket is stripped, happens all the time.' She pulled a replacement socket from a drawer, swapped it in 2 minutes, and sent me home without any paperwork. I never knew that part was replaceable, I thought the whole unit was trash. Now I know to check that little plastic piece before tossing anything. Has anyone else gotten a free fix like that from a return counter instead of a replacement?
