A cashier made me choose between two identical gift cards and it got weird

Last weekend at a Target in Denver, I was buying a $50 Starbucks card for my sister. The cashier holds up two cards, both the exact same design, and says "which one sparks joy?" I laughed thinking she was joking but she was dead serious. I picked the left one and she nodded like I passed some kind of test. Has anyone else had a cashier give them weird philosophical choices at checkout?

Tbh that sounds more like a Marie Kondo thing than a philosophical test. She was probably just trying to make the transaction more fun or maybe she had to scan one specific barcode to activate it. I used to work retail and sometimes we had to push certain cards for inventory reasons, so she might've been politely nudging you toward the right one without making it weird. Either way, you passed the vibe check lol.
