Update: my first prompt exchange finally clicked last Tuesday
I used to just stare at the prompt list and pick the biggest one, then quit halfway through the scene because I got bored. Last week I tried a small one about a vending machine that gives life advice, and I wrote 800 words in one sitting just because I let the character wander instead of forcing a plot. The difference was I stopped trying to make it perfect and just typed the dumbest first idea that came to mind. Has anyone else found that smaller prompts with a weird twist work better for warmups than the epic ones?
