Left the pretzel aisle behind for good after a mustard discovery

I used to grab a bag of pretzels every Sunday while watching football, but last fall a friend in Pittsburgh handed me a soft one with spicy brown mustard and now the crunchy kind just tastes like dry cardboard to me. Has anyone else switched to a condiment that ended up ruining a whole snack category for them?
