Got into it with my roommate about putting ketchup on eggs

My roommate Sarah said ketchup on scrambled eggs is a crime against breakfast and I always thought it was normal growing up in Ohio. She told me it masks the real flavor of the eggs and I started thinking maybe she has a point. But then I tried plain eggs for a week and they were just boring without it. So what do you all think, is ketchup on eggs a legit move or am I just covering up bad cooking?

Honestly your roommate's got it backwards, ketchup on eggs isn't masking bad cooking, it's just a solid Midwest thing. Plain eggs are boring, that's why people add salt and pepper too, so you're fine.
