That $200 laser level I bought off Amazon last month keeps drifting after 20 feet
I was laying out some interior walls on a slab and the line started wobbling halfway through the room... anyone else run into calibration issues with those cheaper green beam units?

Man, I had a buddy who tried using one of those to hang cabinets in his kitchen. He leveled it, locked it in place, and by the time he got to the other side of the room the line was a good quarter inch off. He ended up having to re-drill half the holes because the brackets were all crooked. Never did get the thing to hold steady past about 15 feet no matter what he did.

@gibson.robert Oh man, I feel your buddy's pain. Same thing happened to me with a laser level I borrowed from a neighbor to put up some shelving in my garage. Locked it on one end, line drifted a solid half inch by the time I got to the opposite wall, and I had to patch and re-drill half a dozen holes. Never trusted those things for anything longer than a closet after that.
