My laser level died mid ceiling grid and the client's kid saved the day
Honestly, my laser level gave up about 20 minutes into setting a 60 foot ceiling grid at a shop buildout in Reno last Tuesday, just blinked twice and went dark. I swapped batteries, cleaned the contacts, still nothing, so I'm standing on a ladder doing math on paper while the crew waits on me. The client's 9 year old kid wanders in, points at the thing and says his dad's flashlight does that when the cap isn't screwed on all the way. Turns out the battery door wasn't seated right and it had been bouncing loose in my bag for 2 days, so I tightened it down and it came right back. Lost maybe 35 minutes and bought the kid a soda on the way out. What's the dumbest thing that turned out to be a two second fix on your site?
