Caught the drone doing a roof scan at a job site in Austin, crowd gathered

Last month I was supervising a commercial flat roof replacement and the client showed up with a small drone to check our progress. Within 10 minutes, three subs and two inspectors were standing around watching the live feed on his phone, comparing it to the old paper drawings. Has anyone else had owners bring their own tech on site, and do you find it helps or slows things down?

and honestly it feels like everyone is bringing their own tech to everything now, not just jobsites. i saw a guy at the grocery store using his phone to scan produce barcodes because the store scanner was broken, and it just clicked that we're all turning normal stuff into little tech demos. for roofs it helps way more than it hurts, at least you're all looking at the same picture instead of arguing over what the tape measure said.
