Pro tip: That 'safe' spray foam in your walls might be a total lie, I see it all the time

As an HVAC guy who went solo, I've ripped out so much spray foam that stank like chemicals and made folks sick. The big companies swear it's fine, but there's a whole debate they're shutting down about long-term fumes. I found studies online that get deleted fast, talking about respiratory issues from off-gassing. Just last week, a customer had mold growing behind their foam because it sealed in damp air and ruined the framing. They spend a fortune on this 'premium' stuff, but it's just a scam to sell more product. Go with basic batts or blown-in cellulose instead, it breathes better and costs less. Seriously, do your own research before you believe the hype. This isn't just me talking, it's a real cover-up they don't want you to question.

What gets me is how this happens everywhere. Remember when they said non-stick pans were totally safe, then we found out the coating was toxic. Or how asbestos was used for decades while people got sick. Companies sell stuff without telling the full story, then quiet down the studies. This spray foam mess fits right into that pattern of hiding risks for profit. We keep learning the hard way to question the easy answers.

Totally believed that stuff was safe until now.

My cousin in Toledo had her whole house wrapped in that vinyl siding they said would last forever. Ten years later, the stuff was buckling and trapping moisture, which (of course) led to a termite inspection and a huge bill. The installers had vanished, and the warranty was basically a joke if you read the small print. It just reminded me that anytime they sell something as a perfect, permanent solution, you gotta wonder what they're not saying.
