I finally dumped $120 on a 'government drone tracking' app and got nothing but ads

Last month I saw a YouTube video about hidden military drones over Colorado, so I bought this app that promised real-time flight data. It was 120 bucks for a yearly subscription, and all it did was show me commercial planes and pop up banner ads for survival gear. I checked it during the Denver airshow and it still couldn't tell me anything interesting. Has anyone else flushed money down the drain on one of these tracking or 'disclosure' tools that just repackage public info?
