Switched from curing compound to wet burlap on a hot July pour
For years in Phoenix I just sprayed curing compound and walked away, but last summer a 6 a.m. slab cracked on me because the surface dried out in two hours. I tried wet burlap and plastic on a 40-yard driveway pour and the finish came out way smoother, plus zero shrinkage cracks so far. Anyone else go back to the old-school soak method on big flatwork in the summer?

Give it a season before you start writing love letters to burlap. One July pour without cracks is a decent start, not a proven system.
