I'm convinced that dancing on the fresh concrete improves the finish.

Last job, I accidentally stepped in the wet slab and had to shuffle around to avoid sinking. Now I think a little footwork helps settle the aggregate evenly. What strange tricks have you guys stumbled upon?

Actually saw a whole section of sidewalk in Phoenix with kids' handprints pressed in on purpose. Sometimes those marks tell a better story than perfect gray slabs.
