A foreman in Austin made me change my finishing routine

Back in 2018 I was finishing a big slab outside a warehouse and this old foreman watched me for a bit. He said my float passes were too fast, that I was trapping air before the bleed water came up. I slowed way down and started waiting for that sheen, maybe an extra 15 minutes per pour. Now I tell every rookie on my crew the same thing. Anyone else get a simple tip that cut their callbacks big time?
