Said no to a $65 dive light for 2 years, then my $20 Amazon one died at 80 feet in Pensacola
I always figured lights were lights and I wasn't about to pay 3x the price for a name. Last week my cheap one flooded on a pipeline inspection off Pensacola and I did the rest of the dive on my backup by feel, which was dumb and slow. Borrowed my partner's nicer light the next day and the beam cut through the murk like nothing I've used. So now I'm eating crow at 28 years old over a flashlight. Any of you got a mid-priced one you actually trust, or is it just pay once and cry once?
