Serious question, poured a 4,000 sq ft slab with laser screed vs hand screed and I'll never go back
Did a 4,000 sq ft warehouse slab in Fort Worth last month and the GC wanted us to hand screed it to save $1,800 on the laser screed rental. We ended up going with the laser screed anyway and hit flatness specs on the first pour with zero callbacks, while the hand screed crew on the adjacent job was out there grinding high spots for two days. Anyone else found that the upfront rental cost almost always beats the labor on the back end?
