Changed my mind on pre-pour meetings after a 47% rebar fix rate

I always thought the Friday pre-pour meeting was just a formality. Paperwork, signatures, coffee. Last month on a job in Tulsa we ran a quick rebar scan before the slab pour just out of curiosity. Found out 47% of the tie locations were off by at least an inch. The inspector pointed at a drawing and said 'this line here matters more than the schedule.' That was the moment it clicked. Those meetings are where the real issues surface, not in the field. Anybody else track a fix rate from their pre-pour checks?
