Appreciation post: My friend's 'silent reading' comic book club versus my usual loud debate group

After trying both, the quiet group where we just read for an hour then chat is way better because nobody interrupted my first read of 'Saga' #55 to argue about Marko's haircut.

The grocery store line last week had a fight over paper versus plastic. People will pick the strangest hills to die on, especially when they're bored. A haircut debate during a movie checks out.

I read somewhere that people fight over small stuff when they're stressed, so maybe @bailey.susan's haircut thing makes sense.
