Unpopular opinion: French press beats pour-over for everyday coffee

I tried both methods side by side for a week and the French press just gives me a richer cup without the fuss. I timed myself and the pour-over took 4 minutes longer each morning. Anyone else find the extra effort not worth it?

I get what you mean about the"extra effort" thing. My buddy tried pour-over for a month straight and ended up going back to his old Mr. Coffee drip machine because he couldn't stand the morning routine. He said it was like having a second job just to get his caffeine fix.

Honestly can't blame the guy. Some mornings you just want to hit a button and zombie-walk to the shower, not babysit a kettle and a timer. I respect the ritual for people who dig it, but that's a weekend hobby, not a daily survival tool.
