Had to pick between my $18 hand grinder and a $90 electric one for my 5am brew

I went with the electric because I kept waking my roommate up with the hand grinder at 5am, and honestly the coffee tastes about the same to me. Anyone else feel like the grinder upgrade hype is a little overblown?
