Hit 40 cups before my new grinder finally clicked for my pour over
I got a hand grinder back in March and for the first 39 cups my pour over tasted thin and sour no matter what I did with the water. Last Tuesday I counted it out, 40 brews in, and bumped the grind just two clicks coarser than I had been running. Same beans, same gooseneck kettle, same 3 minute pour, and suddenly the cup was sweet and full instead of watery. I sat there kind of annoyed that it took 40 tries to find two clicks. Anyone else keep a tally of brews while dialing in a new setup, or do you just eyeball it and hope for the best?
