Just realized copying code from a tutorial without typing it myself set me back a month
Last month I was working through a Python course and blew through 40 lessons in 3 days because I kept copy pasting the examples instead of typing them out. When I sat down at a coffee shop in Tampa to build a little tip calculator on my own, I stared at the blank screen for 20 minutes because I couldn't remember how to even write a function. I got mad, deleted the whole file, and redid every lesson by hand starting from the top, no copying allowed. It took way longer but I actually remembered the syntax the second time around. Did anyone else learn this the hard way or am I just stubborn?
