I finally understood why my code kept failing at 2am
Last Thursday I spent 5 hours chasing a bug that only showed up when my script hit a file with a comma in the name. Turns out I was splitting on every comma instead of using a proper CSV parser. I learned that assuming input is clean is the fastest way to crash a project. Anyone else had a silly assumptions cause a late night dumpster fire?
