Swore by insert drills for years, then a 3/4 inch insert drill on a Mazak proved me wrong
I always argued insert drills beat spade drills on hole finish and never gave it a second thought. Last month I ran both on a 3/4 inch hole in 4140 and the spade drill held tolerance better and cost less per hole. What's your go-to for holes past 2 inches deep?
