Serious question, did anyone else think a deburr wheel on a drill was a gimmick till they tried it
I always figured a deburr wheel chucked in a hand drill was one of those things guys sell at trade shows that never works like the demo. Then last month I had a batch of 60 aluminum brackets with edges that were tearing up my fingers and my file was taking forever on each one. A guy I work with handed me his drill with one of those rubber and grit wheels on it, said just try one part. It knocked the burr off in maybe 4 seconds and left a way cleaner edge than my file ever did, no gouging. I ran the whole batch that afternoon and never touched the file once, it cut my time on that step down to almost nothing. Now I am wondering what else I wrote off too fast, so what is the one tool or trick you saw and thought was junk until you actually ran it? I want to hear the ones that surprised you, and also any that turned out to be total junk so I don't waste cash.
