Appreciation post: I was running a 1/2 inch end mill at 500 sfm for months until a scrap pile of burnt tools made me check the chart again

How many end mills did you go through before that pile got big enough to make you double check? That's the kind of mistake you only make once, but man does it make a nice expensive lesson. At least you got some nice firewood out of all those burnt tools. Bet you won't forget to check the chart again for a long time.
