Rant: I hauled 4 bags of trash to the curb every week, now it is 1 and my neighbor wants to know how
Back in 2022 I was tossing 4 full kitchen bags a week, mostly food scraps and packaging, and I felt awful every time the truck came down my street in Fresno. I started composting in a $35 tumbler bin out back and got a set of mesh produce bags so I could skip the plastic ones at the store. I also stopped buying single serve snacks and started filling one big container instead, which cut a crazy amount of wrappers. It took about 3 weeks to get the hang of it, but now I am down to 1 bag a week, sometimes less. My neighbor saw my bin and asked what I was doing, so what finally got you to cut your trash down?
