Dropped $2,400 on a heat pump for my garage office and my electric bill went down $60
I run my tree service out of a converted garage in Sacramento and it used to hit 95 degrees in there by 2pm, so I finally paid $2,400 to swap the old wall unit for a heat pump in April. First full bill came in at $60 less than the same month a year ago, which I did not expect at all since everyone told me heat pumps were pricey to run. The installer said the old unit was basically fighting itself all day, so the new one just runs less. Anyone else seen a drop like that or am I just lucky with my setup?
