Found an old rotary brush in a barn in Ohio, best find in years

Stopped to look at a used truck near Dayton and the guy had a barn full of old sweep gear. There was a vintage rotary brush with steel bristles, still solid as hell. Brought it home and ran it on a stubborn creosote job, cut my time in half. Anyone else ever rescue old tools from farm auctions or barns, and did they hold up?

Read a piece a while back about how those old steel bristle brushes were made with WAY more care than most of the junk you get now. Guys used to forge the bristle sets so they'd actually dig in instead of just bouncing off the surface. Creosote is nasty work, so having that extra bite makes a huge difference. Sounds like you got yourself a REAL keeper there.
