Standing in the checkout line counting everyone's impulse buys
I was at Target yesterday waiting behind a lady who had a cart full of stuff, and I started noticing how many items people grab right at the register. Candy bars, magazines, those little keychain toys. It got me thinking about how I used to always throw a bag of chips or a soda into my cart while waiting, but about a year ago I stopped completely. Now I just stand there and watch everyone else do it, wondering how much extra money the stores make off that last minute grab. Has anyone else cut out those checkout lane impulse buys?

Oh man, totally with you on this. It's wild how much stuff flies off those shelves right at the end, I swear half the time I don't even realize what I'm grabbing until I get home. I cut out the checkout line snacks a few months back and now I just stand there judging everyone else's choices, like "really, that $8 bag of beef jerky?

Ha! Right? That $8 jerky is a straight up scam. I always end up with a weird drink I didn't even want.
