Express lane used to feel like cheating, now the 15 items or less sign is a joke
Back in 2019 at the Kroger on Vine Street, I could grab a rotisserie chicken and some rolls and be out in under five minutes because the express lane meant something. Last month I stood behind a guy with 32 items and a full cart of soda cases while the light blinked for ten minutes, and nobody said a word. Three years ago the cashier would have pointed at the sign, now they just scan and sigh. Does your store even enforce the limit anymore, or did they give up like mine did?
