My husband caught me putting toothpaste on the brush AFTER wetting it and now we are in a full cold war
So my husband, Matt, watched me wet my toothbrush first last Thursday morning and he just stopped dead in the doorway and goes "you wet it BEFORE the paste?" like I had just committed a crime in front of him. And the thing is, I have done it this way my whole life, 34 years, because that is how my mom did it and how her mom did it. Matt is a paste-first guy and he swears the wet bristles just water down the paste and make it slide off your teeth before you even start. But here is my thing, if you put the paste on dry bristles it just sits there like a lump and you have to add water anyway or it feels like chalk in your mouth. We have been married 9 years and somehow this never came up until last week, which honestly blows my mind. We even texted his brother in Ohio to settle it and his brother said paste first, so now I am outnumbered 2 to 1 in my own house. I am not backing down though because I think the wet brush softens the bristles a little and it just feels better. Please tell me somebody here is on team wet-first, I need backup bad.
