Vent: the homeowner moved her china cabinet 3 feet onto fresh tack strip
Last week in Beaverton I finished a 14x18 living room stretch-in, and the homeowner asked me to help her slide a heavy china cabinet back into place. She shoved it about 3 feet onto the new carpet before I could say anything, and the tack strip grabbed the backing and pulled a run right along the wall. How do you all handle the 'just shove it, it'll settle' crowd, do you block the strip or just eat the callback?
