The customer's hallway that ruined my knife, and I'm glad it did
Had a job in Des Moines last week, 40 feet of old glue-down over concrete that shredded my carpet knife in 10 minutes. I swapped to a fresh blade every 10 feet and charged the homeowner for the extra time, and honestly more of us should be doing that instead of eating the cost or pushing cheap blades. Has anyone else stopped pretending worn edges are part of the job?
