Spray glue on the pad edge saved me a callback in Boise last month

I had a stretch-in job in Boise where the pad kept creeping at the doorway after a few weeks, and the homeowner was not happy. I normally just staple the pad and move on, but a guy I work with said to fold the pad edge back about 4 inches and hit it with spray adhesive before tucking. Tried it on a 12 by 15 bedroom and that pad has not moved in six weeks, no wrinkles, no gaps at the tack strip. Takes maybe 30 extra seconds per doorway and a can of glue runs about $12. Has anyone else had pad creep problems at doorways, or am I just late to this one?
