Spent 3 hours on a 10-minute scribe because I forgot my jamb saw at a job in Reno
Tbh I messed up bad on Tuesday. I was installing baseboard in a 1960s ranch out in Sparks and I hit a spot where the floor dipped almost half an inch. I figured I would just scribe it quick with my jamb saw, but I left that thing back in the truck at the shop. So I grabbed my pull saw and tried to cope it by eye. Three hours later I had a gap you could slide a nickel under and I had to do it all over again with a scrap piece I got from the dumpster. The old timer who owns the place walked by and just said 'measure twice, kid' and laughed. I ended up running back to Reno for the saw and finishing in about 20 minutes once I had it. Has anyone else ever lost their whole afternoon trying to make the wrong tool work?
