Why does nobody talk about how a $12 headlamp can ruin a trip when a $60 one saves it?
Honestly I was at Devil's Lake in Wisconsin last month and my buddy whipped out this cheap 3-pack of headlamps he grabbed for $12 at a gas station, and one died 20 minutes into a night hike back to camp. So now I'm stuck between the guys who say "just bring a backup" and the ones who swear you should drop real money on one good light, and I can't decide who's right. Where do you all land on cheap lights with backups vs one dependable one?
