My $6 pool noodle trick fixed my sagging tent poles for good

After fighting floppy poles at Painted Rocks last month, I sliced a pool noodle lengthwise and wrapped it around the joints with duct tape, and now the tent stands solid even in that 20 mph wind, so has anyone else got a cheap hack that beat a store-bought fix?
