A tiny spring from a Nikon FM2 launched itself across my garage yesterday
Heard a faint 'ping' and spent the next 45 minutes on my hands and knees with a magnet. Found it stuck to the leg of my workbench. Anyone ever have a part make a break for it like that?

That's just how those old cameras say hello. My FM2's shutter button spring did the same thing last year. Still haven't found it.

Put a flashlight on the floor and look for the shadow. Found a lens screw that way once, it was hiding in plain sight.
