PSA: That new Klein coax stripper is not worth the hype

I bought the Klein VDV512-058 stripper last month thinking it would speed up my apartment complex jobs. Used it on a whole building in Tempe and it kept slipping on the RG6 jacket, leaving nicks in the braid half the time. I went back to my old manual method and saved myself a headache. Anyone have a stripper that actually works on that thin apartment-grade cable?

Man, I was about to buy that exact model. Heard a few guys on the crew say it was a game changer. Your experience with it slipping on the thin jacket is a deal breaker for me, thanks for the heads up.

Ugh, tell me about it! I had the same exact problem on a job last week. That thing mangled the jacket on some cheap cable and I spent more time fixing the braid than stripping. Felt like I was fighting the tool the whole day. My old basic stripper never did me that dirty.
